Network Engineer (GCS01)

Location: Northbrook, IL & various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructures across the organization. This role is responsible for planning and managing core network components, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and cloud networking, while ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

The Senior Network Engineer will lead network projects, troubleshoot complex issues, perform capacity planning, and implement best practices for monitoring, documentation, and change management. The role also involves collaborating with internal IT teams, vendors, and leadership to align network architecture with business goals, compliance requirements, and cybersecurity standards.

In addition to strong networking expertise, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure/Azure Stack, Microsoft 365/Office 365 services, Exchange 2016, and enterprise firewall platforms. The role also requires experience with virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V with high availability/failover clustering and VMware ESXi environments.

Candidates should be comfortable managing Windows Server 2019/2016, Windows File Servers, Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and Active Directory Certificate Services (CA). Experience supervising supporting services such as WSUS, SMTP Relay, and KMS servers is also expected, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term infrastructure and network strategy.

Travel/relocate to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. for long and short term assignments. Multiple Positions Available.

Job Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Computer Software Professional.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Schedule: 9:00am–5:00pm
